Hi, I’m Caitlin — owner and founder of Bloom Bookkeeping! I was born and raised on Vancouver Island and currently live in Nanaimo with my beautiful family. My career began after going to school in Vancouver many moons ago, earning myself a BBA and a diploma in fashion design and merchandising - while waitressing on the side.

Before having children, I was working in the fashion industry with some of the biggest names in the business.. As much as I loved the fast-paced environment of the fashion world, the 14-hour days were catching up with me (especially after having my second child) and I had to slow down. 

After giving birth to baby number two, I began working at a public practice accounting firm where I learned so much and received mentorship that will stay with me indefinitely. I soon found myself working long hours, sometimes up to six days a week. So, in order to create the work/life balance I desired, I decided to go out on my own in 2017 and founded Bloom Bookkeeping! Since then, I have worked with many local startups in Vancouver (and on Vancouver Island) and have watched them grow into successfully established businesses.

There is nothing I love more than the rush of being a part of the growth of a business and celebrating the wins, big and small. I am also honoured to be part of the growing pains and the process of creating strategies and education around budgeting, financial wellness, and creating new revenue streams.

When I am not working you will find me on my yoga mat, hanging out at the beach, or enjoying a great meal and bottle of wine with friends.
